I’m driven by challenges where both strategy and detail are key—from doing research in the polymer chemistry lab in college, to today, where I’m providing confidence in Synchrony’s risk and control environment. That’s why I chose Internal Audit—I get a birds-eye view of our processes, risks and controls, and was able to jump right into the weeds and make an immediate impact.

Whether in my day-to-day, or in taking on special projects, I’ve worked directly with our Synchrony leadership throughout the program. They had confidence in me from day one, so I feel confident to be bold in everything I do.

Now that I’ve finished the BLP, I’m prepared for future success in my career at Synchrony. I’m looking forward to all that’s to come in my role as Internal Staff Auditor-Compliance.

I joined the Internal Audit track in the BLP even though I didn’t have experience in accounting or internal audit. In fact, my analytical and mathematical skills are a match for the work they do in Internal Audit. Synchrony put my skills to work and I’ve learned new ones. Today, post-BLP, I’m an Auditor in Credit & Risk.

My work is challenging and interesting, and what’s great about Synchrony is that my experience beyond my work is incredible, too. We have an open culture, amazing people who are passionate about their work and real exposure to leadership. I’ve had opportunities to go back to campus for recruiting, get involved in our Asian Professional Engagement Network+, play basketball in the office Olympics and pursue all of my own passions.
