I chose the Credit & Capital Management track in the BLP because I like the risk management aspect of day-to-day decisions—interacting with clients, influencing strategy changes and more. The BLP is challenging and pushed me out of my comfort zone, which prepared me for my post-BLP role as an AVP in Portfolio Credit for a major retail client.

The culture is what makes Synchrony such a great place to work. Two months before I started, my first manager called me to introduce himself and walk me through the moving process. Throughout the BLP, I had numerous one-on-one mentoring opportunities with Synchrony leaders. During my last rotation, my team supported my schedule so that I could coach youth lacrosse! Everyone here wants you to live your life the way you want to.

I joined Synchrony’s BLP through the BLP-Internship. Even as an intern, I experienced Synchrony’s unique culture and flat organization. My work was critical to the business and was in front of regulators and senior leaders. From that experience, I knew that starting my career at Synchrony was the right choice—pushing myself to learn, achieve and grow at a faster pace while working with amazing people.

I picked the Credit & Capital Management track because I wanted to explore financial services from a variety of angles, through different opportunities. Credit is also the foundation of what Synchrony does and, I like being behind the strategies that help people achieve their ambitions.

Today I work on a team that is new to Synchrony, Digital Credit & Fraud, with a focus on Web Services and Payments. As the digital world evolves, we in Credit & Capital Management are an active part of the conversation with our clients.
