Business Leadership Program Overview:

Launching your future with Synchrony’s Business Leadership Program (BLP) is bold, challenging and ambitious. The BLP is a two-year program where our goal is to expose you to our business and provide an immersive experience that accelerates your career. You’ll experience three-rotations within one of 10 functional tracks (Credit & Capital Management, Data Analytics, Enterprise Operations, Finance, HR, Internal Audit, Marketing, Risk Management, Sales & Relationship Management, and Technology). As part of each rotation you’ll complete purposeful, real-world assignments within your functional track, each with a slightly different focus, so that you can experience more parts of our business. But the opportunities don’t stop there–you’ll crank up your energy and ambition to a whole new level with two cross-functional projects, a month-long community service experience, exposure to leadership, training, networking, and more.
 

Human Resource Career Track Description:

A BLP Human Resource Career Track member will gain experience in different areas of HR such:

In the HR track at Synchrony you’ll have a variety of experiences that will prepare you to be an HR leader of the future. From day one, you’ll make an immediate business impact and collaborate with teams in one of two areas:

  • HR specialists, who work as the main points of contact for our staff in areas like compensation, benefits, talent development, staffing, culture initiatives, volunteer activities and our Diversity & Inclusion Networks
  • HR business partners, who work with leadership to support the key initiatives that make our business stronger, such as organization design, culture transformation, strategic workforce planning and employee relations

 
As a member of this function you will gain exposure to executives and senior leaders with whom you will work on strategic issues and solutions. This opportunity will allow you to develop your background with real-life situations and will empower you to make a strategic impact on the people and organization. After the completion of the program, there will be various opportunities, in within the Human Resource function.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in business or a human resources discipline (e.g. industrial & labor relations, industrial & organizational psychology, organizational behavior, etc.), or related degree
  • Excellent academic record – Minimum overall 3.0 GPA or higher
  • 2-5 years of business/HR related work experience
  • Geographic mobility
